INSIA is built on an exclusive 50,000 square metre plot of land on the Campus Sur of Madrid Polytechnical University, located at km 7 on the Madrid Valencia highway.
 


The most significant infrastructure and facilities in the complex are as follows:
 3.000 m2 Laboratory building:

The laboratory building is divided into different laboratories and divisions that structure both the facilities and highly qualified human resources making up the INSIA. It therefore has the capacity to perform a wide range of motor vehicle-related tests, either in R+D or for official approval. The main laboratories and facilities are:
 
VEHICLE AND AUTOMOTIVE COMPONENTS LABORATORY
POLLUTANT EMISSIONS LABORATORY
ELECTROMECHANICAL EQUIPMENT CALIBRATION LABORATORY
PASSIVE SAFETY LABORATORY
INSTRUMENTATION AND ELECTRONICS LABORATORY

Research, teaching and Administration Building, 1,700 m2.
 
It has the following facilities dedicated to teaching:

4 classrooms for 25 to 40 students.

 A Board Room located on the first floor of the teaching building.

Cafeteria and two dining rooms, one general and another for 12 diners where more specific lunch-meetings can be held.

Rooms and offices with 58 workplaces equipped with computer systems.

Documentation Centre with a technical library specialising in the Sector.

   
 The library contains more than 2,700 bibliographic references, including articles or parts of a publication, 204 standards, books, official publications, regular publications, computer readable records, etc.
 

1 Computer Room with 20 high performance networked stations.
Assembly room for 120 people.
